Hello dear friends,
This evening had a special surprise. Todd dropped by, fresh from his hunting escapade, eager to showcase his catch. With a day off spent partially on our land and others’, he had quite the adventure. While a magnificent buck at Sand Cherry caught his eye, it eluded him with distance. But, as hunters say, patience paid off. At another spot, three bucks pranced within range, and Todd claimed his prize.
I, of course, conducted my usual inspection (it’s a lab thing!). The buck was truly impressive, bearing the marks of many a wild scuffle — chipped antlers and missing points. Such a robust creature promises delectable feasts for the days to come.
Celebrating the season’s bounties, Sand Cherry’s lands and its neighbors have generously offered up 4 does and 5 bucks. Here’s a tail-wagging salute to Todd on his splendid success!
